MR imaging of optic nerve lesions: value of gadopentetate dimeglumine and fat-suppression technique.

摘要: Eleven patients with known or suspected optic nerve lesions and eight normal subjects were examined spin-echo technique at 1.5 T unenhanced T1-weighted imaging, IV gadopentetate-dimeglumine-enhanced enhanced imaging fat suppression. Two pathologically proved four presumed meningiomas demonstrated significant enhancement best seen the fat-suppression technique. None of three gliomas nor nerves qualitative enhancement. We conclude that use a gadopentetate dimeglumine improves delineation enhancing lesions. This should be useful for evaluating other anatomic regions where tissue marginates fat.
