摘要: Malignant pleural mesothelioma, a highly invasive tumour, has been epidemiologically linked to an occupational or environmental exposure asbestos. Although asbestos widely used in diverse industrial applications and construction, some sectors have affected much more than others. The objective of this review was describe the existence clusters malignant mesothelioma Western European countries, based on epidemiological studies published between 2000 2015. MEDLINE (PubMed) Embase were searched for relevant spatial clustering countries. Eventually, 16 different 2015 selected comprehensive analysis. Relevant found Belgium, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Italy Denmark. Clustering mainly around shipyards (16 studies) cement industries (10 studies). may be throughout Europe, present study indicates specific areas with higher past also probable future incidence.
