摘要: Bacterial vaginosis and vulvovaginal candidiasis are common causes of impaired health quality life for women. Although antimicrobial agents remain the main strategy treatment vaginal infections, their repeated use involves high rates resistance recurrence. Alternative approaches such as probiotics studied. Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNCM I-3856 already demonstrated beneficial effects in experimental models infections. This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study was performed to evaluate recovery S. samples healthy women after oral consumption. Sixty were randomized receive a daily dose or placebo 4 weeks. Subcultures quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) used detect strain stool samples. A safety assessment carried out throughout study. Fifty-seven completed Over 4-week supplementation phase, has been detected 21% (n = 4/19) 500 mg Probiotic group 16% 3/19) 1000 group. The faeces 90% consuming probiotic. is first demonstrating migration yeast from intestine vagina where it may exert its benefits.
