摘要: Nonhuman primates have proved useful as subjects for both behavioral and biomedical research because they are closely related to humans (Goodwin Augistine, 1975) provide animal models of human disorders (Cornelius Rosenberg, 1983). The growing costs acquiring nonhuman from their natural habitats, recent embargoes on exportation feral animals experimental purposes some countries, such India, the dwindling sizes free-ranging primate populations (Mason, 1979), high demand for, severe shortage of, available research, required development breeding programs in United States (Held, 1980).
