The p21 src genes of Harvey and Kirsten sarcoma viruses originate from divergent members of a family of normal vertebrate genes

摘要: The Harvey and Kirsten strains of murine sarcoma virus encode enzymatically serologically related p21 src proteins which are required for virally mediated cellular transformation. genes in each encoding show such extensive divergence from other that cloned probes these detect distinct sets the DNA several vertebrate species. These data suggest sarc constitute a divergent family can regulate growth cells.
