摘要: Summary Lilly 110140 is an inhibitor of serotonin uptake by brain synaptosomes. In rats, it had no effect on levels tryptophan, serotonin, dopamine, or norepinephrine, but decreased 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5HIAA) levels. The decrease in 5HIAA was dose-related over a 1–20 mg/kg i.p. dose range and persisted for at least 24 hrs after 10 110140. decline occurred mostly the cerebral hemispheres midbrain apparently resulted from reduced turnover serotonin. Reduced indicated rate fall p-chlorophenylalamine given to inhibit synthesis. Turnover rates calculated accumulation probenecid injection were 0.18 μg/g/hr control rats 0.066 110140-treated rats. presumably compensatory mechanism occurring when receptor sites are overstimulated due blockade reuptake (inactivation) nerve synapse.
