摘要: Metabolomics is recognized as a powerful top-down system biological approach to understand genetic-environment-health paradigms paving new avenues identify clinically relevant biomarkers. It nowadays commonly used in clinical applications shedding light on physiological regulatory processes of complex mammalian systems with regard disease aetiology, diagnostic stratification and, potentially, mechanism action therapeutic solutions. A key feature metabolomics lies its ability underpin the metabolic interactions host commensal microbial partners providing way define individual and population phenotypes. This review aims at describing recent fields insight into diseases, diagnostics/monitoring improvement homeostatic regulation.
