The os trigonum syndrome: use of bone scan in the diagnosis.

摘要: The os trigonum is an accessory bone of the foot found in 7% normal adult population. It located at posterolateral projection talus, and can occasionally give rise to symptoms acute chronic unexplained ankle pain. We report three patients, one with fracture two symptoms. Technetium 99 methylene diphosphonate showed intense focal uptake posterior talus pointing as site was excised patients complete relief. third went on develop asymptomatic nonunion. recommend scanning a procedure that helpful delineating obscure pain may be due irritative nonunion trigonum.
