摘要: Background and purpose: The incidence of gastric cancer decreases but despite declining, it still remains the second cause death all malignancies worldwide. Morphometric methods are independent prognostic variables in various cancers there have been encouraging results using for estimating prognosis cancer. Aim this study was to evaluate influence nuclear area (morphometric method), on survival patients with intestinal type Materialsandmethods: Seventy-four who had undergone resections adenocarcinoma stomach University Hospital Center, Rijeka, Croatia, were analyzed study. None received pre-operative radiotherapy or chemotherapy. Age, gender, tumor size, depth into wall (T-category) presence absence metastases regional lymph nodes (N-category) distant organs (M-category) cells estimated. All followed up at least 36 months death. Results: Univariate analysis showed that gender (P = 0.009), 0.017), TNM 0.001) size 0.024) survival. Patients age time diagnosis no univariate 0.089). In multivariate only 0.048) 0.020) factors planning further therapy. Conclusions: According our results, reliable tumor; outcome disease.
