摘要: The aim of the present research is to develop economic, fast, and versatile method for removal toxic organic pollutant phenol from wastewater using eggshell. batch experiments are conducted evaluate effect pH, concentration, dosage adsorbent, contact time on phenol. paper includes in-depth kinetic studies ongoing adsorption process. Attempts have also been made verify Langmuir Freundlich isotherms. morphology characteristics eggshell studied scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, fluorescence analysis. At ambient temperature, maximum onto eggshells has achieved at pH 9 time, 90 min. experimental data give best-fitted straight lines pseudo-first-order as well pseudo-second-order models. Furthermore, process verifies isotherms, basis mathematical expressions these models, various necessary constants calculated. Using data, thermodynamic parameters like change in enthalpy (∆H(0)), entropy (∆S(0)), free energy ∆G(0) evaluated. Results clearly reveal that solid waste material acts an effective adsorbent aqueous solutions.
