摘要: Ascites or pulmonary hypertension is a multifactorial syndrome, caused by interactions among genetic, environmental, dietary and physiological factors. Forced selection to achieve faster growing chickens has improved genetic potential; but, due some anatomical limitations, the same potential could have adverse effects on bird health. Impaired oxygen supply sustain continuous fast growth rate may increase risk for higher incidence of ascites syndrome. The impaired will stimulate development many compensatory mechanisms in cardiopulmonary systems, which, turn, bring Management practices provide thermoneutral environment, limit (such as: feed restriction, nutrient density diet form), use antioxidants omega three fatty acids normalize red blood cell structure function match demand requirement, which turn can reduce chance ascites.   Key words: Broiler chicken, nutrition, management.
