摘要: IgD is a class of immunoglobulin described, thus far, only in humans and constituting approximately 0.2% all serum (1–2). Although antibody activity has been ascribed to the immunoglobulin, biologic function these molecules unknown (3–10). We now report that surprisingly large fraction human peripheral blood lymphocytes bear surface IgD. Thus, mean 2.7% can be shown have membrane-associated This 18% bearing immunoglobulin. Materials Methods. Heparinized venous from normal adult donors was sedimented 6% dextran (Phamachem Corp., Bethlehem, Pa.) white cell-rich supernatant plasma incubated on rayon wool columns for 30 min at 37°C an atmosphere 95% air 5% CO 2 . The erythrocytes effluent cell suspensions were lysed with ammonium chloride (11); cells then washed resuspended RPMI 1640 (Grand Island Biological Co., Rockville, Md.).
