Abstract 5049: Physician preferences in tobacco cessation support for cancer patients: A survey of physicians at National Cancer Institute Designated Cancer Centers

摘要: Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate oncologists9 preferences for methods increase delivery tobacco cessation support cancer patients. Methods: An email list 6844 physicians at NCI Designated Cancer Centers generated using publically available online resources. survey conducted in the fall 2013 assess assessment and practices by physicians, barriers providing support, improve access services Results are compared similar findings American Society Clinical Oncology (ASCO) International Association Study Lung (IASLC). Results: Of electronically delivered invitations, we received 887 responses (13%). Consistent with previously published ASCO IASLC surveys, 90% agreed that use patients affects treatment outcomes (vs. 87-92% ASCO/IASLC), respondents reported they ask about their 83% routinely advise users quit 80-82% ASCO/IASLC).
