摘要: The prevalence of smoking among cancer survivors is similar to the general population. However, there little evidence on specific cessation behaviors adult survivors. 2015 National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) data were analyzed examine and use treatments Weighted self-reported estimates 95% confidence intervals calculated using a sample 2527 Among this US survivors, 12% current smokers, 37% former 51% never smokers. Compared with smokers younger (< 65 years), less educated, likely report being insured or Medicaid health insurance (p < 0.01). More males than Current reported wanting quit (57%), past year attempt (49%), professional advised them (66%). counseling (8%) medication (38%). Even after diagnosis, about one in eight continued smoke. All could have received advice by professional, but third did not. professionals consistently advise increased risks associated smoking, provide medications, refer other free resources, inform covered their insurance.
