摘要: Serum somatomedin A (SMA) has been determined in healthy children (n = 188) relation to age using both a radioimmunoassay and radioreceptor assay. The SMA levels, only 50% of adult values at birth, rise gradually with reach levels 10 years age. There is significant correlation (r 0.46 P less than 0.001) between by the two methods throughout childhood except during puberty. Immunoreactive shows marked pubertal peak 2 earlier for girls boys, which not observed assay technique. In boys delayed puberty increase immunoreactive seen first when testes size 5 ml. Children growth hormone deficiency 30) had significantly lower health age-matched controls. gives better separation these groups obtained
