摘要: In 2008 there were an estimated 259,000 people living in the USA with spinal cord injuries (SCI). The majority of these are their reproductive years, and over 19% to be women. Advances medical management have allowed many women live successfully congenital defects or resulting SCI that even a few years ago would been fatal. Although may classified as ‘disabled’, fertility is not usually affected desire children own. It important counsel regarding range issues related pregnancy. These include conception issues, parenting disability, emotional concerns family, nutrition exercise pregnancy, risks labour delivery, postpartum care, breastfeeding.
