摘要: Using an ethological approach, we studied the possibility of sound perception as well probable contribution diverse mechanosensory systems composing complex to triggering motor responses stimulation in imaginal crickets Phaeophilacris bredoides lacking tympanal organs (“deaf”). It was shown that Ph. imagoes are able perceive sounds and respond cues by a locomotor reaction relatively broad frequency range which becomes narrower intensity decreases [0.1–6.0 kHz (111 ± 3 dB SPL), 0.1–1.5 (101 0.1–1.3 (91 0.1–0.6 (81 0.1 (71 SPL)]. Sound ofmotor appear involve cercal (CO), subgenual (SO) and, probably, other distant (DMO). CO essential for within ranges 1.6–6.0 1–1.5 0.9–1.3 0.5–0.6 SPL). SO DMO provide 0.1–6.0 0.1–0.8 0.1–0.4 From this, it follows “deaf” (nonsinging) can using CO, DMO, (as singing crickets) likely compose integrated providing adequate acoustic behavior this cricket species. Performance efficiency sensitivity (specifically, CO) rely on thoroughness grooming. Following self-cleaning level activity response cue presentation returned baseline sometimes even increased. Whether or not species communicate acoustically is yet be found out, however, suggest complex, triggers sound, normally involved defensive escape aimed at rescuing from predators.
