摘要: Described here is the design and construction of a pulse‐power generator capable discharging at high repetition rates. It consists eight triaxial Blumleins stacked in series one end. These lines are charged parallel synchronously commuted with single thyratron other end to produce an open circuit voltage across stack six times charging voltage. An x‐ray diode has been constructed matched this source making possible emission average bremsstrahlung exposure rate 17 R/S from sequence 40‐ns pulses. When operated 60‐kV voltage, direct spectral measurements show output be true continuum, peaking intensities excess 5×108 photons/keV/shot containing useful photons having energies 300 keV.
