摘要: Lactoferrin (LF) is an iron-binding glycoprotein from the transferrin family, which has been identified in most biological fluids as secretions exocrine glands and content of specific granules neutrophils. It reported to have numerous functions. Due antimicrobial anti-inflammatory activity, lactoferrin plays significant role host defense against infection extreme inflammation. Recent studies also demonstrated that LF can protect cancer experimental animals anticarcinogenic activity many human tumors. At cellular level, modulates proliferation, differentiation, maturation, activation, migration function immune cells. This review presents multifunctional roles beneficial properties lactoferrin.
