摘要: Angiostrongylus vasorum (A. vasorum) is an important emerging disease of canidae. Cardiorespiratory signs are common in affected dogs, therefore thoracic imaging critical for diagnosing and monitoring disease. Descriptions computed tomography (CT) findings dogs naturally infected with A. currently lacking. Aims this multicenter, retrospective study were to describe CT a group confirmed disease, determine whether any changes consistent among propose standardized terms describing findings. Nine UK-based referral centers' clinical databases searched that had diagnosis vasorum, undergone examination. Eighteen from seven the centers, fulfilled inclusion criteria. The lung lobes divided into following three zones described each: pleural (zone 1), subpleural 2), peribronchovascular 3). predominent abnormality was increased attenuation due poorly defined ground-glass opacity or consolidation. There regions mosaic peripheral bronchiectasis. Nine/18 (50%) showed hyperattenuating nodules varying sizes ill-defined margins. distribution always 1 2 varied involvement zone 3; resulted clear delineation between 3. Tracheobronchial lymphadenomegaly frequently noted. Findings nonspecific there considerable overlap other pulmonary conditions. However, authors recommend be considered likely differential predominantly changes.
