摘要: PURPOSE To evaluate the risk of temporary or permanent internal carotid artery occlusion. METHODS In 156 patients intraarterial balloon test occlusion in combination with a stable xenon-enhanced CT cerebral blood flow study was performed before radiologic surgical treatment. All passed clinical and underwent xenon second test. Quantitative data were analyzed for absolute changes as well symmetry. RESULTS Fourteen exhibited reduced values between 20 30 mL/100 g per minute, an decrease flow, significant asymmetry middle territory during These would be considered at high infarction if to performed. With one exception they belonged group (class I) 61 who showed bilateral ipsilateral lower on side The other 95 patients, variety response patterns including increase, moderate II) low III) stroke risk. contrast these findings, exclusively qualitative analysis failed identify risk: threshold index 10% revealed only 16% specificity whereas 45% 61% sensitivity detection areas ( CONCLUSION For achieving minimal hemodynamic related-stroke rate associated we suggest integration thorough quantitative
