摘要: Abstract High energy gamma radiation has been used to covalently link polymer chains of a quaternary ammonium salt containing monomer, viz. [2-(Acryloyloxyethyl)]trimethylammonium chloride (AETC) cotton fabric by mutual grafting using 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (2-HEMA) monomer as the facilitator. Grafting yield was found increase with dose and concentration. The grafted samples have characterized for water uptake, surface morphology thermal stability their antibacterial efficacy against various bacteria were possess significant activity particularly gram-positive bacteria.
