摘要: Mutual radiation grafting technique was used to graft acrylic acid on micrometer thick micro-porous polypropy- lene membrane using high-energy gamma radiation. Grafting could not be achieved in aqueous solution. The presence of Mohr's salt effectively retarded the homopolymerization but did lead enhance- ment. acids found effective enhancing yield. Contact angle measurement studies grafted and treated polypropylene showed that initial as well treatment poly(propylene) medium enhances its affinity towards enhancement polar component surface energy is primary cause enhancement. membranes an extent ~20% were perform comparably with battery separator presently being by industry.
