摘要: Abstract Mutual radiation grafting technique was employed to graft polyacrylic acid (PAA) onto Polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon) scrap using high energy gamma radiation. Polyacrylic acid- g -Teflon (PAA- -Teflon) adsorbent characterized by extent measurement, FTIR spectroscopy, SEM and wet ability & surface analysis. The PAA- studied for dye adsorption from aqueous solution of basic dyes, namely, Basic red 29 (BR29) yellow 11 (BY11). equilibrium data were analyzed Langmuir Freundlich isotherm models, whereas, kinetics pseudo-first order, pseudo-second order intra-particle diffusion kinetic models. Equilibrium BR29 better explained model, while that BY11 model. capacity more than BR29. Separation factor ( R L ) found be in the range 0  r 2  > 0.99) agreement between q e,cal e,exp values suggested model represents data. non-linearity obtained plot indicated, one process is involved dyes. desorption studies showed ∼95% adsorbed could eluted suitable eluent.
