摘要: AbstractThe present communication addresses the applicability of acid-modified wheat husk for adsorptive removal an anionic dye, Acid Orange 10 (AO-10) from aqueous solutions. The adsorbent was characterized by FTIR and SEM. adsorption reached equilibrium within 30 min, percentage increased with contact time, dosage, ionic strength. Low pH condition enhances AO-10 sorption. experimental data kinetic study agrees pseudo-second-order model. Detailed investigation indicates that overall sorption rate is governed film diffusion mechanism. behavior followed a Freundlich isotherm high correlation coefficient low χ2 values. maximum capacity found to be 31.25 mg/g. results thermodynamic demonstrated process spontaneous exothermic in nature.
