The synthesis of biochar-supported nano zero-valent iron composite and its adsorption performance in removal of malachite green

摘要: The new composite material was synthesised bonding nano zero-valent iron (NZVI) with liquid-phase chemical reduction method on the support obtained by carbonising organic waste mandarin peel, and surface characteristics of it were determined Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission microscope (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) zero point charge (pHzpc). effectiveness as an adsorbent in removal malachite green (MG) investigated different parameters. Equilibrium data employed to adsorption isotherms used aqueous solutions, most suitable isotherm found Freundlich highest R2 =0.999 lowest chi-square (χ2) residual root-mean-square error (RMSE) values. maximum capacity 909.09 mg/g according Langmuir isotherm. When kinetic analysed, appropriate model pseudo-second-order χ2 RMSE (≥0.987) process carried out endothermic (∆H°=145.79 kJ/mol) spontaneously (∆G°≤−2.89kJ/mol) thermodynamic Also, possible say that irregularity at adsorbent-adsorbate interface increased due positive entropy. NZVI/carbonised peel (CMP) high could be effectively remove many industrial wastes.
