摘要: Ascorbic acid is essential to the biosynthesis of collagen, major organic matrix component dentine. The ODS rat a mutant strain Wistar characterized by hereditary lack L-gulono-gamma-lactone oxidase and thus unable synthesize ascorbic acid. rats were given an acid-free diet investigate how deficiency affects dentine formation in vivo. Histomorphometric analysis on their growing molars incisors showed significant reduction both size mineral apposition rate dentine, as revealed contact microradiography fluorescent time-marking, respectively. A similar bone was simultaneously demonstrated mandible, confirming previously reported osteopathic effects deficiency. When pulp inflammation induced lower first making unsealed exposures, specimens from control animals continuous deposition osteodentine-like tissue radicular chamber; this type mineralized greatly reduced acid-deprived animals. These results indicate that hampers under physiological pathological conditions dentine/pulp complex. could be useful investigating vivo other dental tissues.
