摘要: Stress in an optical fiber has not been measured because of its small diameter. This paper explains the protective quality a jacketed from lateral pressure by new experimental method, which enables stress to be using photoelastic effect. Results show that effect nylon jacket with silicone rubber layer depends on shell within elastic deformation region and is so large little actually applied fiber. However, excess loss increase suddenly when yields.
