摘要: Exposure to irritants may cause chronic irritant contact dermatitis (ICD), characterized by irregular epidermal thickening and a predominantly dermal mononuclear cell infiltrate. The mechanisms involved, why only certain individuals are affected, not clearly understood. Different trigger different cellular molecular interactions between resident skin cells recruited inflammatory cells. In some these become self-perpetuating resulting in persistent inflammation the absence of continued exposure. This study examined Langerhans (LC) density clinically normal 46 patients with ICD 10 healthy individuals, compared action two nonanoic acid (NA) sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) on LCs keratinocytes ICD. There was higher number LCs/mm basement membrane controls, although there no difference dendrites/LC nor dendrite length.
