摘要: Abstract Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are among the most dangerous environmental contaminants due to their toxic, carcinogenic and mutagenic effects. Although there many data in literature that detail effects of PAHs on animals, little is known about action higher plants which often used as bioindicators. The aim present study was evaluate genotoxicity two different PAHs, benzo[a]pyrene (BaP) naphthalene (Naph), Trifolium repens L. Clover were exposed soil had been artificially contaminated with three concentrations BaP (5, 10 20 μg g−1) or Naph (25, 50 100 μg g−1). After 15 days, changes DNA content sequence roots shoots evaluated by flow cytometry (FCM) amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP). Root shoot dry weight also determined assess plant growth. Results showed both genotoxic for white clover, inducing significant root sequence. Damage more severe than suggesting translocation these compounds metabolites limited. Ploidy alterations not detected extent damage caused all tested PAH sufficient affect development.
