摘要: Microbial inocula that generate extracellular proteases and keratinases are potentially of value for enhancing the industrial composting poultry wastes. In this study we have isolated new feather- poultry-waste-degrading bacteria with proteolytic activities belong to diverse genera including: Chryseobacterium, Rhodococcus, Bacillus, Pseudomonas, Stenotrophomonas, Achromobacter. Feather keratin model carcass wastes were then composted in replicated experiments determine whether two different could be enhanced by bioaugmentation strategies. Strategies included using combinations bacteria, microbial communities enriched from natural sources, as well uninoculated controls reliant on associated populations. The revealed activity was maintained across all treatments, showing degradation clearly not limited population test material.
