摘要: Abstract Although the various costs of Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) European Union have been well documented, little attention has directed at distributional considerations. This paper focuses on way in which some these are distributed amongst food consumers and taxpayers United Kingdom. Average cost figures hide large differences burden agricultural support between individuals. Moreover, recent reform measures, entailing a move from artificially high market prices to use direct income payments, represent shift consumer taxpayer, with concomitant implications. Results suggest that transferring entire component would lead decrease around 1% those top quintile, an increase almost 2.5 per cent bottom quintile. However, impact overall inequality UK be trivial.
