摘要: This paper focuses on estimation of the welfare effects different Romanian households assumed food price changes as a result EU accession. Using Slutsky compensating variation approach, results suggest that these affect differently for various categories households. Although average loss is 2.6%, higher impact estimated low-income groups. However, relatively high share home-produced consumption diminishes impacts, in particular rural households, and somewhat smaller monetary amounts would be required if compensation paid.
