摘要: We performed an analysis of inbreeding and kinship among the ascending genealogies 205 autopsy-confirmed Alzheimer disease (AD) subjects recruited in Saguenay area Quebec. hypothesized that if some traits pertaining to were determined by inherited factors, corresponding genes not too frequent population, it might be possible detect clusters patients related common ancestors presenting a level and/or higher than is observed unaffected population same age. In view heterogeneity disease, we also verified factors investigated could associated more specifically with subsets cases based on age onset apolipoprotein E (APOE) genotype. Results compared those obtained controls matched for gender, place year birth. found late-onset AD APOE-epsilon 4 significantly inbred this increase was explained high few whose parents at first-cousin level. This possibly indicate implication recessive element small subset population. epsilon 4+ closely themselves controls. may attributable presence allele or other unidentified genetic factor acting conjunction 4.
