摘要: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) has been most commonly performed using spin-echo sequences. Gradient-echo sequences have previously investigated in context 3-D and ‘dynamic’ (pseudo-kinematic) imaging. We used gradient-echo to improve image quality static studies with rapid acquisition, high spatial resolution (512 × 512 matrix) excellent contrast resolution. Using pragmatic methods a non-randomized study group we demonstrated definite advantage quality, thus diagnostic confidence, from use gradientecho sequence incorporating split acquisition open mouth views.
