摘要: Abstract We present δ 13 C and 18 O records of planktonic ( Globigerinoides ruber ) benthic foraminifera Cibicidoides spp.) from two deep sea sediment cores (SK157-15 SK157-16) the southern Bay Bengal. The chronology these gravity was established using eleven AMS radiocarbon ages mixed species sacculifer oxygen isotope stratigraphy. Large variations in are suggestive significant changes surface water masses for ∼65 ka BP. values both significantly higher relative to western Bengal Andaman Sea because reduced influence riverine fresh fluxes. Benthic SK157-15 SK157-16 exhibit source characteristics during Holocene last glaciation. decrease bottom dwelling Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) ∼50–65 ka BP suggest drastic reduction North Atlantic Deep Water (NADW) fluxes into concurrent increase formed Southern Ocean (SODW) with low values.
