摘要: Abstract Sea surface temperature (SST) and seawater δ 18 O sw records were generated from sediment cores located in the southern Bay of Bengal (SBOB) northeastern Arabian (NEAS) to understand glacial Holocene changes hydrography these regions. This was accomplished through use paired Mg/Ca measurements planktic foraminifera ( Globigerinoides ruber ) two cores; SK157-14 SBOB (lat. 5°11′N; long. 90°05′E; water-depth 3306 m) SK148-21 NEAS 21°29′N, 67°01′E; 1900 m). The results suggest significant SST since last period. SSTs lower by ~ 2–2.5 °C relative Holocene. deglacial period both is characterized variations . Dansgaard-Oeschger (DO) cycles Heinrich events are strongly expressed core. These support a strong control atmospheric-oceanic northern high latitude on thermal state SBOB. time series regions indicates sudden abrupt increase at end maximum. core SK 148-21 reveals an intensification northeast monsoon during
