摘要: [1] We present a near-annually resolved record of the Indian summer monsoon (ISM) rainfall variations for core region India that spans from 600 to 1500 A.D. 230Th-dated stalagmite oxygen isotope Dandak Cave. Our reconstruction, which Medieval Warm Period (MWP) and earliest portion Little Ice Age (LIA), indicates short instrumental ISM underestimates magnitude variability. Periods severe drought, lasting decades, occurred during 14th mid 15th centuries coincided with several India's most devastating famines.
