摘要: In an attempt to elucidate the mechanism(s) of action thalidomide, a reportedly antiangiogenic molecule recently tested in treatment relapsing malignant gliomas, we performed vitro study on following parameters: (a) effect thalidomide proliferation endothelial cells; (b) expression αvβ3 integrin surface (c) release by cells MMP-2, IL-8 and TNF-α. The results show that inhibits endotelial cell induced bFGF VEGF, more so if are grown vitronectin; moreover, with reduces MMP-2 cells, suggesting further pathway for activity drug. On other hand, does not modify cells.
