摘要: Sexual transmission of HIV-1 consists processes that exert either positive or negative selection pressure on the virus. The sum these pressures lead to only one specific strain, termed transmitted founder Different dendritic cell subsets are abundantly present at mucosal sites and, interestingly, DC opposite viral during sexual transmission. In this review we describe receptors and cellular compartments in DCs involved communication leading restriction by host further dissemination establish a long-lived reservoir. We discuss current understanding antiretroviral factors against specifically will also potential clinical implications for exploiting intrinsic developing novel therapeutic targets. A better might help strategies infections targeting cells.
