摘要: Acanthamoeba keratitis is a serious ocular problem and can cause blindness if not treated. This study was therefore performed to evaluate the effectiveness of eyedrop antibiotics on eight spp. isolates, which four were clinical isolates remaining from environment. Three different (neomycin, ciprofloxacin gentamicin) currently available in market ready for use tested. Cyst suspension all strains tested against antibiotics, respectively. After 48 hours incubation period, solutions filtered membranes put onto non-nutrient agar lawn with E. coli. The plates examined daily trophozoites under inverted microscope until day 14. Neomycin, gentamicin found be effective against  cysts test strains.
