摘要: Nowadays more and wireless users are on move while accessing the Internet, providing mobility support in IP networks has been a long-standing challenge. Client-based Mobile IPv6 (MIPv6) is most widely known management scheme, fast emerging Proxy-based (PMIPv6) scheme offers an alternative. However, some inherent problems such as route optimization these schemes have not totally solved. Although various proposals tried to tackle problem, none of them achieved satisfactory success. Furthermore, comprehensive solution for coexisting MIPv6/PMIPv6 environments. In this paper, we propose unified approach Route Optimization (RO) based simplified MIPv6 Return Routability Procedure (RRP) protocol, called Traffic Driven Pseudo Binding Update (TDPBU), which can significantly improve overall performance schemes. Our proposed ensure immediate optimization, regardless heterogeneous environment MNs reside. Simulation results show that TDPBU terms end-to-end latency, signaling cost, throughput, blocking rate, power consumption compared original with RRP mechanism. Besides, deployment cost software complexity both network entities clients, expected reduction.
