摘要: The construction industry is a complex work environment. sites are temporary and rapidly changing. Asbestos has been widely used in industry, but the risks were primarily detected specialized trades, such as insulation workers plumbers. Today, majority of cases related to asbestos exposure will occur other occupational groups industry. In large cohort Swedish workers, insulators plumbers constituted 37% all pleural mesothelioma between 1975 1984 while they 21% 1998 2002. It estimated that 25-40% male Sweden caused by trades. There many known carcinogens occurring including PAHs, diesel exhausts, silica, asphalt fumes, solvents, etc., it difficult estimate exposures thus size risk. risk cancer less easy detect with traditional epidemiological methods than industrial sectors. not sufficient rely upon broad data due chemicals Thus, strategy decrease exposure, e.g., dust, seems feasible way reduce
