摘要: BACKGROUND The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy arthroscopic elbow release for both traumatic and degenerative contractures from intraoperative recording through recovery time until final follow-up. METHODS is based on 54 consecutive patients with extrinsic contracture (traumatic in 31 23) treated arthrolysis by a single surgeon 2011-2015. Range motion (ROM) Mayo Elbow Performance Score (MEPS) were recorded preoperatively; intraoperatively; following release; 1st, 3rd, 8th, 12th, 26th weeks at 2 years postoperatively. RESULTS Significant improvements noted extension, flexion, range motion, measured intraoperatively all follow-up visits. greatest improvement achieved surgery (from 89° ± 28° 131° ± 14°, P < .001); it then decreased 1 week 103° ± 22° (P < .001) slowly recovered reach 124° ± 22° after years. This better than preoperative value but worse (P = .002). A similar pattern observed contractures. MEPS improved 73 ± 12 preoperatively 93 ± 14 evaluation (P < .001). ROM results every comparable regardless severity contracture. CONCLUSIONS Arthroscopic similarly efficient restoration After early deterioration, gain recovers over period 6 months may not recover ranges during arthroscopy.
