摘要: Myxococcus xanthus is a myxobacterium that exhibits aggregation and cellular differentiation during the formation of fruiting bodies. Therefore, it has become valuable model system to study transition multicellularity via cell aggregation. Although there vast set experimental information for development on M. xanthus, dynamics behind cell-fate determination in this organism's remain unclear. We integrate currently available evidence mathematical network allows test molecular elements regulatory interactions are sufficient account specification types observed body formation. Besides providing dynamic mechanism multicellular aggregates enables postulation specific mechanisms some observations which no explanations have been provided, as well new can be experimentally tested. Finally, constitutes formal basis continuously emerging data integrated interpreted.
