摘要: Members of the genus Acinetobacter are ubiquitous in environment and multiple-drug resistant species A. baumannii is significant clinical concern. This relevance currently driving research on bacterial viruses infecting baumannii, an effort to implement phage therapy phage-derived antimicrobials. Initially, a total 42 genome sequences were available international nucleotide sequence databases, corresponding 2.87 Mbp information representing all three families order Caudovirales single member Leviviridae. A comparative bioinformatics analysis 37 phages revealed that they form six discrete clusters two singletons based genomic organisation identity. The assignment these was further supported by proteomic relationships established using OrthoMCL. 4067 proteins encoded genomes formed 737 groups 974 orphans. Notably, over half unknown function. clustering presented enables updated taxonomic framing clades.
