摘要: The phase diagrams of the V-Si and Nb-Si alloys were established by thermal anal., x-ray, microscopic examn. Alloy specimens prepd. sintering under pressure, converting cold-pressed powder mixts. into solids in an A atm., melting metals arc furnaces. eutectic between Si compd. VSi2 occurs with 5 wt. % V at a temp. 1385°. Pure tetragonal V5Si3 was assigned to space group D2d11 lattice consts. = 9.410 c 4.747 kX units. V3Si phases confirmed. In system, 8 Nb which melts 1405°. Only compds. Nb5Si3 NbSi2 identified; transition β- α-Nb5Si3 approx. 2000° has led previous reports other β-Ni5Si3 belongs 9.998 5.067 change crystal habit accompanies transformation platelets α-Ni5Sb3 D4h18 6.557 11.860 V5Si3, α-, β-Nb5Si3 are converted ternary hexagonal addn. only 0.1-0.2% C, relatively extensive homogeneity range.
