摘要: The use of bibliometric indicators in research evaluation makes many hidden assumptions about scientists' publishing habits. This paper tests an assumption that scientists are reward oriented and attempt to publish as prestigious channels possible, seeking optimal level the hierarchy publications. data based on interviews with teaching personnel four university departments fields zoology, biomedicine, automation control technology. author concludes all studied placed equal emphasis communication functions publishing. actual behaviour biomedical scientists, nevertheless, accorded best terms prestige. By contrast, zoology technical fields, local field-related habits appeared strong.
