摘要: Purpose To evaluate corneal higher-order aberrations (HOAs) and backscattered light before after Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) their correlation with visual outcome. Design Retrospective study. Methods In a total of 118 consecutive eyes patients who underwent uneventful DMEK for Fuchs dystrophy at tertiary referral center, best spectacle-corrected acuity (BSCVA), HOAs, were evaluated preoperatively 6 months postoperatively. Outcome data compared to an age-matched control group uncomplicated (n = 27). Results Compared the group, eyes, as well DMEK, showed higher values anterior posterior HOAs ( P ≤ .020). Anterior did not change from preoperative = .649), while (RMS third sixth Zernike order) haze decreased Conclusions cornea, elevated in suffering remained throughout DMEK. If present, surface irregularities may be most important limiting factors rehabilitation
