The polarization ratio of crystal monochromators

摘要: A tabulation of some 40 measured values the polarization ratio K (a measure fractional introduced into an X-ray beam by a crystal monochromator) is presented. The may be represented through parameter n given = cosn2θM. cluster around unity and theoretical rationale for this result discussed. Possible explanations outlying are considered. recommendation made that apparatus using direct method whenever possible, but methods estimating value also given.
